GAP Audits

Are normally conducted prior to the certification audit. This can be referred to as the initial stage of the food safety certification road map. It involves evaluating the current system against the planned certification standard and identifying gaps that may exist. The benefit of GAP audits is that it allows for the identification of the resources (financial and labour) needed to assist with the implementation process. We specialise in (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, PRP’s).

Pre-certification

The final check assessment/audit, after the implementation phase before entering the certification process. It gives an indication of the system’s ability to pass the applicable certification audit.

Internal Audits

Assess the ability of the system to conform to standard, customer or regulatory requirements. We can assist with planning a suitable audit programme, that includes pre-determined frequencies and methodologies to ensure standard requirements are met. The benefits of the internal audit service offering are, that it impartial and conducted by a competent individual. This will assist organizations with identifying potential non-conformances and applying the necessary corrective actions.

Supplier Audits

Involves auditing suppliers of raw material or packing against standard or internal requirements to assess compliance. We provide this as a value-add service for clients with SQA capacity constraints by identifying risk and vulnerabilities within the supply chain.

Hygiene Audits/ Inspections

Includes good manufacturing practice (GMP) verifications. This includes, cleaning and sanitation practice, environmental monitoring, and hygiene practices. We can assist with PRP planning, inspections, identifying hot spot or high-risk areas, plant zone planning and chemical and sanitation recommendations. The hygiene inspection includes a review of records, traceability, plant inspection and analysis of verification activities.
